Zero Speed Splicer

Our Z series of zero-speed automatic splicers delivers full-features performance for web presses operating at speeds up to 465 m/min (1530 fpm). These automatic splicers eliminate the need to stop production for roll changes. So printers can maximize the efficiency of their printing presses. These units offer a simple and reliable method to increase profits and improve the quality of the finished product.

Nested Carriage with anti-wrinkles rollers offers more convenient and easier operation for web up. Improved anti-wrinkle rollers eliminate wrinkles during web flowing.

Lower carriage down to the lowest limit and load web through between moving and fixed carriage.

Rise the moving carriage and finish web loading.
Specially designed anti-wrinkles rollers to keep web tension stable and wrinkle free.

The touch-screen operation panel is easily setup by operators. All splice actions like splicing brake parameters, carriage limits and electric hoist limits are menu driven. Operators can rapidly diagnose and figure out splice errors by diagnostic function. Screen displays allow the operator to determine the splice speed correctly.

A combination of PLC control system and pneumatic controls deliver reliable automatic splicing and superior web tension control.


The Z-series splicers establish and maintain web tension through a single independent air loading dancer. The low mass of the dancer roller and its close proximity to the paper roll speedily and precisely control the. Consequently, tension upsets are effectively isolated from the press.


Operators can flexibly control and reduce the waste of roll paper by setting the expiring roll diameter.


The Splice cycle is automatically actuated when the expiring roll reaches a predetermined diameter. This results in minimal core waste and ensures that the splice is made even if the machine in unattended. If it is necessary to reject a bad roll of paper, then the splice cycle can be manually actuated.



The zero speed automatic splicer is equipped with a manual roll side-correcting adjustable device to eliminate wrinkles that are caused by roll position.


An additional web tension control unit can also be installed for dual web flow. This is available as an option.


To compensate for uneven or telescoped rolls, the lateral position of each paper roll can be independently adjusted during operation. This sidelay controls have equipped safety limits for safety.


Motorized remote control sidelays are also available as options. This remote stations can be located at any location in the pressroom.
